Do I need an ADA Handicapped Lift at my pool?
New Construction:
Required to have a chair to pass the Dept. of Inspections final Building Inspection.
Existing Pools:
Once a pool has passed the final building inspection, the ADA requirements fall to the the interpretation of the Dept. of Insurance. A pool MUST have an ADA lift if one or more of the following occurs:
1-Pool is rented for use
2-Paid memberships are required to use the pool (not HOA dues)
3-A swim team is in place and outside teams visit the pool for meets
4-A request is made by an approved user for ADA concessions to be made to use the facility
